Apparatus housed at the
station includes
2003
E-One Engine on a International 4400 Chassis that carries 500 gallons of water
as well as Basic Life Support supplies and auto extrication tools. This is our
primary engine and is used for residential and/or commercial fires, medical and
rescue incidents and other various calls.
Our second engine
is a 2000 Pierce Engine that carries 1000 gallons of water and Basic Life
Support supplies. This engine also responds to all residential, commercial and
brush fires as a pumper to support the attack crew.
Our primary rescue response vehicle for medical emergencies and auto accidents
is a 2008 Dodge Ram 3500 4X4 with a 150-gallon water tank. This vehicle allows
a crew of up to five to navigate through the small city streets easily and is
more fuel-efficient and requires less maintenance. It carries a variety of auto
extrication tools and Basic Life Support supplies. It also has the ability to
mitigate small fires. This apparatus is currently under construction at Pride
Enterprise’s in Daytona Beach, FL.
Our station also houses two brush fire apparatus. One is a 1974 Dodge Power
wagon 4X4 with a 250-gallon water tank and various forestry tools; and a 1986
military two and a half ton vehicle carrying a 500-gallon water tank with
Class-A foam capabilities and various forestry tools.
The department also has a 2000 Jeep Cherokee 4x4, which is used as a support and
command vehicle. The department is also proud to maintain a fuel trailer, which
would be used during times of natural disasters or large-scale incidents inside
or outside of the Davenport area.
